Scrapbooking Ideas for Babies

Do you have any simple
scrapbooking ideas for babies you could share? My friend is having her first baby soon and I would love to create a scrapbook for her that she can insert her new baby's pictures in. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Answer: There are plenty of photo opportunities when a new baby is around, and almost anything they do is memorable. A new mother can be overwhelmed, and I am sure your friend will appreciate having a cute scrapbook for all those pictures she's sure to be taking. This is a great gift for everyone, even someone who doesn't want to scrapbook. Everyone wants to record their little one's milestones... remember those baby books of yesterday? This isn't your mama's baby book!
One of my favorite scrapbooking gift ideas for babies is a
Baby's First Year scrapbook. Divide it into 12 two-page layouts, one for each month. To make things easier, settle on a few solid and coordinating paper designs to use throughout the album. Stamp some cute baby images to include on the corners of your pages, or you can use other elements such as die-cuts or stickers, ribbon or buttons. Stamp or print your titles for each month.
Using stamps or your computer you can create some word/phrase strips or tags for those first year memories, such as First Word, First Tooth, First Time Rolling Over, Favorite Foods, Favorite Toy, etc. And don't forget to dress those up a little, too!
Now all your friend will have to do is
add pictures each month, along with some of the pre-made phrase strips and tags to record important milestones, include some of her personal journaling, and -- voila! -- she'll complete her Baby's First Year scrapbook effortlessly! And I'm sure she will appreciate your thoughtful
scrapbooking baby gift.
Thanks for the great question. And be sure to send us a picture of your completed baby album!
