SCRAPBOOKING FONTS

Scrapbooking fonts can really give your page some attitude or charm, and there are a lot to choose from! I have collected a few sites where you can download free fonts, and even one or two that you have to pay for but I thought were too cool to leave out. If you know of a great site for scrapbooking fonts please let me know and I'll be sure to add it to the list!

Personalized Handwriting Font

Amazing! vLetter.com can create personalized fonts from your cursive handwriting that you can use on your computer and, in turn, for your scrapbooking. How cool is that?

According to their home page, they can "create your own handwriting font to use on your computer. vLetter captures the natural variations in your handwriting to give your letters, cards and other correspondence a unique, personal touch."

vLetter says it uses four different samples to accurately reproduce your natural handwriting, and that other script or handwriting fonts contain only one sample of each letter that overlaps to give the illusion of a connection between letters. vLetter "actually connects the letters together, like real cursive handwriting!"

I have not ordered this, but I thought you might be interested. What a great gift for the scrapbooker who has everything, their own personalized font!

Wordle

Wordle.net is a cool free site I stumbled upon that will generate “word clouds” from text that you provide. You can play around with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes, and the images you create are yours to use however you like. You can print them out for some fun scrapbooking layouts!

There are instructions at the site, and you may have to adjust or turn off your firewall to use it, but it sure is a lot of fun to see what you can come up with. Go to http://www.wordle.net and give it a go!
