Kids Scrapbook Layouts

Traditional & Digital Layout Ideas for Scrapbooks

It is so easy to make super kids scrapbook layouts. And goodness knows when there are kids around there is always an opportunity to snap a great picture -- if you can keep up with them, that is! Be sure to check out my favorite camera for a great option that you can take just about anywhere with ease, so you will never miss those shots.

Beautiful patterned paper and a few punches and embellishments can help to make a quick layout. Here I punched out a few flowers and staggered the layers on top of each other to make the multi-petaled flowers. I then rolled up the edges of the petals a little to give them a bit of dimension. I added some pretty half pearls to the centers for a little bling, and voila! Oh, and don't forget the tab punch attached to the top of the mat with a few brads. I love punches!

Using Rubber Stamps in Your Layouts

Rubber stamping can be an affordable and great way to add design and color to your scrapbook pages. You will never run out of an "S" or an "M" or have an extra "Q" or "Z" like you could using stickers. And once you make the investment, you can use your stamps over and over and over again.

I used a lower case alphabet set to add a childish quality to the title. I wasn't concerned that the letters were all even because when children are just learning to write the letters certainly aren't lined up just so. That's one of the great things about doing kids scrapbook layouts, you don't have to be perfect because it just makes it more charming and kid-like!

I mounted the pictures on a couple layers of bright cardstock and used the same bold colors for the crayon and bus stamps and -- voila! -- a couple of quick and simple scrapbook layouts commemorating a child's first day of school.

All the stamps featured on this two-page spread are © Stampin' Up!.
