History of Walt Disney World
As the history of Walt Disney World continues, the ever-changing resort now features many different adventures all in one convenient location. There are many individual theme parks.
The Magic Kingdom - Cinderella's Castle
This is where you will find the traditional Disneyland trappings: Main Street U.S.A., Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Adventureland. This is where you will find classic rides like the Rail Road, Splash Mountain, or the It's a Small World ride.
Toon Town
A newer addition called Disney's Toon Town Fair attracts younger audiences with hits like Minnie's Country House, Toon Town Hall of Fame, as well as many others.
Downtown Disney
Disney is the place where you will find all seven of Disney's official resort hotels, including Best Western, Doubletree, and the Hilton, just to name three. You will also find the Downtown Disney Marketplace, a dazzling array of shops for every taste. You can explore Goofy's Candy Company, the LEGO Imagination Center, and Mickey's Mart, where everything is under $10. You will find these and many other points of interest. Here you can also discover Pleasure Island, and witness Walt Disney World's own circus, Cirque du Soleil, something so spectacular is should not be missed.
EPCOT Center
Epcot Center, a realistic look at the world of tomorrow, was once thought of as an adult theme park, and has done much to include all audiences. One of the greatest introductions for children is the 'kidcot' stations found all over. Kids can make their own, genuinely free, souvenir that they can take home. The more stations they visit, the more additions they can make on their unique souvenir.
Other attractions found here include Spaceship Earth, located inside the giant 'golf ball' that shows the historical significance of communication. You can go on a wonderful underwater adventure with Nemo and his friends, be sucked into the 3-D film, "Honey I Shrunk the Audience," as well as an array of other fun activities.
Animal Kingdom
In keeping with the past history of Walt Disney World, with promises of being extremely kid friendly, in April of 1998 Disney introduced the world to the Animal Kingdom. With its iconic "Tree of Life" at the center, its 500 acres are home to 1700 animals that represent 250 different species. The Kilimanjaro Safari ride lets you have the chance to see many of them as you travel through an African savannah-like setting.
Other attractions you will find here include the Maharaja Jungle Trek and the Kali River Rapids, just to name a few.
Create More Magical Scrapbooking Moments
With all this and many more to choose from, you will be occupied throughout your entire stay, adults and children alike.
As the history of Walt Disney World has shown, this American icon is alway improving and changing, and is here to stay. Who knows what wondrous new adventures await?
On your next trip to Walt Disney World there are many transportation services around the resort: car rental, train ride, and even the Monorail. With its many hotels, bungalows, and even an extensive campground, you will find whatever kind of lodging you are looking for. Be sure to plan ahead, as this is one of the busiest resort attractions in the world. There are many packages available, including official Walt Disney World vacation packages that can include dining as well.
