cupcake toppers

How do you make the cupcake toppers that are scalloped circles layered with a polka dot border then a white circle with a graphic on the white circle. Is it really 3 layers, or do you print it out as one layer?

Answer: Do you have a particular image you are asking about? It would help me to understand your question more.

Either way would work, although my first thought is I would prefer the layered look.

Single layer topper: If you have a digital scrapbooking program you could design your toppers in the program and then print and cut them out.

Layered topper: If you're doing them by hand, using punches and patterned paper would work. Punch your layers out of coordinating patterned or colored paper. You could then print out your picture or graphic on white and punch it out with a circle punch for the center. How cute would that be?!

Whatever you decide to do, please send us a picture!

Thanks for your question.

Lois,

You're very welcome. We would all love to see a picture of what you did. Am I going to have to make my own?!? ;-)

Thanks so much for your reply. I did what you said on option 2 - Scalloped paper punch of whte with the graphic and solid pink pink put through the Cricut machine with 3 1/2 setting making the pink circle slightly larger, sandwiched the lolly pop stick between with hot glue.

I think next time I will punch the solid paper with the 2 5/16" punch because it's hard to center the graphic in the scalloped paper punch.

I'm still learning to use these new tools. I am a beginner with the Cricut and the punches.

Thanks again for your advice.
